Breakfast at Sophy's

This is no B&B. You just rent a room in someone else's apartment. Even the cupboards in "your room" are filled with Sonia's personal belongings and there is no space for yours.

There was everything available in the apartment. Kitchen with fridge, bathroom etc. The location is fantastic, just near to beach, city area and restaurants, super market. It would be great to stay there.

The facility is like a home and the host lady also lives in the same apartment on upper floor. If someone has a problem with living with strangers, then you should avoid it. I was ok because I was always outside, but for other people, it might be a an issue.

There was no breakfast. The facility needs repairs and updating. Bedspread was very old and needs to be replaced along with the towels. There were also somekind of black bug of which 2 I killed and 2 got away.

Wasn't told there would be others sharing the space and there was no lock for the bedroom door when you were gone. No feeling of security and privacy. The owner was going to credit my stay due to these and other problems as I left 3 days early. If she has not done that please contact her and send in a complete credit as I have already contacted my credit card.

The equipment absolutely does not correspond to the description..Generally unconvincing hygiene conditions (towels, sheets). The price should be half.

Sonia did a perfect preparation and was always reachable via WhatsApp. The location of the flat is perfectly close to the beach and other locations like bars or restaurants.

The bathroom was old and needs to be renovated. The flat is very small and too hot in summer time. Sonia even put some ventilators in, but the air was very bad. Sleeping with open windows is just possible with ear plugs due to the very loud glass rubbish collectors in the early morning hours and construction sites. The kitchen is not as good equipped as described here (e.g. no water boiler) but everything is possible.

The location of the accommodation was really great and perfect for some days in Nice. It is super close to the beach (only like 5mins) and you can also reach the vibrant parts of the city (day and night!) in a short time. It is also really close to Nice-Ville, so you can reach the main central station easily. Wherever you want to go and whatever you want to do in Nice, this is really the perfect starting point. Sonia was very helpful and the check-in was super easy and convenient. Same goes for the check-out. The host offered many tips and was happy to help all the time - we got her number and she was available on call basically any time.The apartment was pretty clean.

We think it would be very important to know that you are actually not in a B&B with more rooms, but you book a room in personal flat. The description was a bit confusing and we were kind of shocked to realise that there is actually a personal flat and you have a small „room“ which you can lock from the inside, but not from the outside - if it is hot, you can basically not close the door, because it is just way too hot. Since there is not air-conditioning, you really have to keep the door open, because the fan provided needs that in our opinion. The host was, in our case, not at home, so we had the flat for ourselves, but there is actually no clear separation and you have to cross the personal space of the host to get into your room. In the „room“ you definitely have not enough space to open a suitcase (not even hand luggage). The bathroom is fine, but we could not lock the bathroom door because the lock did not work, so whenever you had to use the toilet or took a shower, you had to put your foot or any other thing in front of the door so that it doesn‘t open. There are also not many power outlets (and it‘s pretty hard to get your cords into the outlets). Also, note that there is no breakfast included, even if it says so in the name - but we already knew this from the booking. It would also be convenient if the host provided a small parasol/something to lie on on the beach.
