Great place staff very pleasant nice breakfast

Lovely host, nice breakfast and a lovely comfortable bed.

Everything was fine apart from the hike up to the top floor, but that’s not the hosts fault.

Sharon was extremely friendly, the cleanliness of the accommodation was excellent throughout and the dining area was also really nice. My wife and I made use of the table and chairs under the large gazebo overlooking the back garden which was also really nicely done. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The owners (Sharon +) kindly looked after me with gluten free options including toast for breakfast which was great. Breakfast was excellent on both days, compliments to the chef. When we first arrived at the property I grew concerned about the parking and the main road, there is off road parking but limited places and they are quite small, but once I finally parked and got inside there was no need to worry as the accommodation was just fine. There are a couple of pubs within walking distance but only one that serves food (the Lodge) 10-15 mins walk which we used in the evenings. We went for BSB’s @ Donnington Park so we’re out all day until late afternoon. The priced we paid for two days with breakfast was really good value overall which was enhanced by the friendliness of the owners/s. I don’t often write reviews but felt that this accommodation and service deserved one. I would have gave a higher but for the parking and main road, both of which the owners can do nothing about. Im used to staying in Premier Inns and travelodges but opted for a guest house on this occasion-I am glad I did. Well done Maryland.

Parking small spaces for larger car, main road and walking distance to pubs, shops etc.

The hotel was clean and tidy. The room was well equipped. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. The breakfast was good. Would recommend.

Nicely decorated, everything you could think of was provided, the facilities were clean, everything worked perfectly, the towels and bedding were soft, the bed was comfortable, the view from the room was lovely, the garden was neat and tidy, there was a nice gazebo with seating, which was lovely for a morning coffee.

The parking was a little bit cramped, but adequate.

The hotel is clean and pleasant enough for a basic stop over and had all amenities required for that.

It was noisy. There were 'staff only' doors opening and slamming shut at 2am plus lights going on and off and chatting. That was my night's sleep ruined - unfortunate as I had to get up at 5:30am.
