Friendly and efficient staff. Homely feel. We liked the milk and chilled water available in the fridge.

Small details in the room- some peeling wallpaper beneath the window and a plug that didn't seem to work.

"We were thoroughly impressed with the Durham Ox. Very central for the town."

Large room with comfy bed. Plenty of tea coffee and biscuits. Water also provided.

No lights over the tea making area. No breakfast available. The restaurant not open every day.
