Durham Ox Ilkeston

The location was good for where is was working but quite noisy due to the road outside. The room was a good size as was the bathroom. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room and a decent sized colour TV. The landlord was a nice pleasant fella.

When I stayed before there was a self service breakfast which wasn't available this time, room only. As I had to be at work early nowhere was open for me to buy anything before I arrived to start work. The pub is next to a dual carriageway and despite the double glazing it was quite noisy with the traffic. I needed some food in the evening but unfortunately the pub didn't open on the night I stayed there (Wednesday). I had been told by a local that the food served at the pub is however excellent.

Staff were lovely and helpful.

The room was dark and not enough lighting for me.

No breakfast but tea coffee and hot chocolate. Biscuits. Comfy bed. TV. Fluffy towels. Shower gel etc. Well furnished.

On this occasion the radiator didn't work in my room,so I was a bit cold. the towel rail was working though.

Nice place, comfortable.

It was cold, no Heating.

Restaurant and bar closed Monday - Wednesday. Room cold, 5-6 degrees outside and no heating. No iron and ironing board in the room. Ripped voile in the bathroom, decor needs an upgrade.
