Kandyan Hideout

A very nice hotel, clean, comfortable, with a great mountain view. The host - Poul, super helpful and kind. Delicious breakfast.

There were several factors that made our stay exceptionally comfortable. The room was comfortable, spacious, and surprisingly quiet. In addition, the hotel manager, Mr. Paul, was incredibly kind and helpful. In particular, his excellent communication skills and friendly demeanor stood out, and his special coffee and breakfast were a great start to the day.

Paul the housekeeper is the best we ever met. Always beautiful to speak with him and share time. Thank you so much for everything. Beautiful place clean and comfortable.

Set in the hills, it was a lovely location to stay in Kandy for a few days away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. Paul is an incredible host, made sure we were well looked after and cooked the most delicious breakfasts both Sri Lankan and European. His rice and curry was as good if not better than we’ve eaten out. Don’t come expecting luxury but it’s comfortable enough.

No drivers seemed to be able to find it! Up a super steep hill and the WiFi was only available in the common areas not our bedroom .

Paul was really friendly and really helpful with any questions we had. The shower was warm although we did find that the water run out by the end of the second shower.

For the price you pay it’s a pleasant stay for the facilities that are offered. Please be aware this property is out of the way and at the top of a really steep hill.

Best service from Mr. Paul who ensured our comfort and time spent at the hotel. He even treated our kids with little goodies showing kindness.
