Intimate and impeccably designed

Beautiful house in an amazing location. Nigel was great, very friendly and accommodating, he bent over backwards to ensure we had a great stay, booked us the best tables in local restaurants, had great tips for seeing the local sights, provided valet parking (thanks again Nigel)! And was a true pleasure to chat to, we would highly recommend to others!

Absolutely fantastic experience, thanks to the incredibly warm and friendly host, Nigel. My partner and I stayed for two nights and couldn't have been more impressed with the hospitality. From the moment we arrived, Nigel made us feel at home with his welcoming demeanor and attentive service. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Nigel's attention to detail was evident throughout, from the fresh flowers into the recommendations for local dining and attractions. They even went above and beyond to accommodate a healthy breakfast, which was delicious and served with a smile each morning. Nigel and Filip’s local knowledge and genuine interest in ensuring we had a great stay made all the difference. They were always available to answer questions and provide assistance, making us feel like valued guests. We left feeling refreshed and grateful for such a memorable experience. A great location, out of town, but right on the lake with free parking under the trees and a beautiful fish restaurant within a short walk. The old house has been renovated by the owner, an architect, and it is modern and very stylish with a delightful aromatic garden and a swimming pool. A delicious breakfast, well designed and comfortable bed and bathroom, together with a charming host who was very helpful, made for a lovely stay.

Everything was perfect!

Based in a palazzo from the 15th century, the beautifully modern stylish and yet authentic, Palazzo Sbutega stole out hearts with its private access to the bay, great breakfast and the view of the water and mountains. We were charmed by the scenery, but what make this truly unforgettable is the hospitality. Nigel is the soul and the mastermind behind this with an impeccable taste and great recommendations. He even made reservations in the best restaurant around for our little celebration. What made our stay additionally pleasant and enriching is the boutique nature of the hotel and a familial atmosphere amongst the guests and the owners, lively conversations during breakfasts and a friendly greeting any time we came back to the hotel felt very warm and connecting. Loved the care and attention from Nigel and Philipp and would love to come again!

It was flawless

Everything about our stay at Palazzo Sbutega was perfect. The location is so beautiful, with a stunning view of Kotor Bay and mountains from our bedroom window. Nigel has created a luxurious, small boutique hotel, which definitely has the ‘wow’ factor and yet we were made to feel right at home, as he and his lovely helper Filip are so friendly and welcoming. They are incredibly knowledgable about the local area and Filip answered our many local history questions! They recommended restaurants and helped plan trips, which made our stay relaxing and even more enjoyable. Breakfasts were amazing, lots of fresh fruit, breads, pastries, local homemade jams & honey, yoghurt and even homemade muesli! We had a lot of laughs over breakfast with other guests outside by the pool. It’s the sort of place you’d rather keep as a secret, as it was so idilic. Palazzo Sbutega was exceptional in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and sincerity. Nigel and Filip were amazing hosts - they went above and beyond to make us reservations at local restaurants and provide valuable recommendations within the area. When I hurt my back, they even offered to move us to a more accommodating room. The hotel is exquisitely appointed, from the pool, to the quality of the bed, to the healthy and satisfying breakfast, we were thoroughly spoiled with a top quality experience. We left feeling as if we had made new friends. Thank you for a most memorable stay!
