Nigel and Fillip are amazing hosts that make you feel at home. We enjoyed every moment

This 5-room renovated Palazzo is the place to stay if visiting Montenegro. We stayed in the Boka Room and the Orange room - both are beautifully decorated providing the perfect place to rest and recuperate, while escaping the bustle of the old town in Kotor. The Boka Room especially has a gorgeous view over the mountains and bay in the morning sun. The Orange room overlooks the pool and garden, and has a walk-in wardrobe! Owner Nigel and Filip provide the personalised touch which made us feel right at home and we couldn’t thank them for enough for their hospitality and recommendations of what to do and where to eat. We visited in early May and found the temperature warm enough (early to mid 20s) to swim in the sea and pool. We loved every minute of our stay and recommend starting the days with a coffee on the jetty overlooking the bay, and ending the days with one of Nigel’s G&Ts in the garden. We can’t wait to visit again.

- Location is great to discover the area near Kotor (definitely better to have a car there) - The neighborhood with a Catolic Cathedral is lovely (Don't miss evening walks there) + good pastry shop on the way - The place is very authentic and stylish (as on the photos) - Clean and comfy - Very attentive and friendly Nigel and Philip - No disposable items (just a really nice bottle of shampoo/gel is provided, so dont forget to take other items) - Bring slippers. (Espicialy for our room type; they are not provided, which is great from eco perspective)

- If you choose our room type, the bathroom will be outside of the room, opposite to the room. So u have to be ready to pass the hall in a robe (which is provided) - Mentioned in a description, but we missed: the breakfast is continental (so eggs and other hot dishes are not provided, but you can order an omelet for additional charge)

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Palazzo Sbutega in Kotor Bay, and it truly exceeded our expectations. As a boutique hotel, they excelled in personalizing every aspect of our experience. The attention to detail, from the charming decor to the personalized service, made our stay unforgettable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, and the picturesque setting of Kotor Bay added an extra layer of magic to our overall experience.

Stairs curved around and we had to be careful descending.

First of all, the hotel is very clean, as in the photos, and its location is beautiful. The location of the hotel is quiet and very close to the sea. But most importantly, Philip, who took care of us, was very polite and helpful. I thank him again. We stayed at the hotel for 2 days and enjoyed it very much.

Our stay at Palazzo Sbutega truly made our trip to Montenegro special. From the first moment we arrived we felt right at home and knew we had made the right choice. Our room was delightful with gorgeous views onto the garden. The breakfast was extremely enjoyable and set us up for the rest of the day. Nigel & Filip were very attentive and provided everything we needed. They gave us great suggestions for things to do and see. They booked us restaurants and made everything extremely easy. It was great to chat to other guests each morning and we looked forward to it every day. The facilities were incredible. The garden/pool was beautifully designed and having the direct access to the bay was a true highlight. The parking was perfect too! The car was covered by trees which is very important with the high temperatures.
