Ingrosso House

This was my second stay. I would always stay here when coming to Lecce. The owner is very helpful, she received my luggage for me when it finally got delivered! If you are looking for a place to stay while exploring Lecce and the surrounding area, this place is perfect!

For me, nothing.

Carla was a nice hostess, the place is really central close to the railway station and to the historical center. The bed was ok for one night.

The bathroom needs some work: the toilet seat was unstable, the shower head support was broken. It was really hot and we wanted to sleep with the window open, big mistake ! The street in front of the place is very busy even at night.

Very nice host and good location

I personally don't have breakfast, but my boyfriend does. Based on his feedback, the amount of the breakfast quantity is suitable for 1 person, rather than two. There was no understanding with the owner that it will be a breakfast for one only, so it seems a bit strange. The breakfast was mostly on the sweet side, however, I would like to note that the owner made sure we had coffee, tea, milk and juice every morning. Additionally, she had left some crackers, chips and biscuits to use freely. The owner was also very sweet and accommodating. She doesn't speak English, but we speak a few words in Italian. We managed to use a mix of both languages to understand each other on a basic level. The location is great, very close to the old town and main sights to see. It's also a 15-minute walk to Lidl, if you want some groceries. The bed was very very comfortable, as well as the pillows

One of the main issues we faced there was the humidity in the room and how cold it was. Given we were there at the end of April with plenty of hot days (top/shorts appropriate), when we were in the room, we were freezing. The ceilings are very very tall and there is only one small air-conditioner in the room. It can't warm the room and moreover, when it's turned on, it would smell like mold. The bathroom only has one small window. An instance for how humid it was we would take a shower in the evening and by morning the mirror's fog still hasn't cleaned up, although the window was open all night. The room smelled due to the humidity, and in turn, our clothes started smelling as well.

Quiet spot but very close to town centre to walk to bars and restaurants. Supermarket close by.

Just be aware that there are steep steps up to a loft style bedroom.

The room looked cosy and clean. The bathroom was nice. Very close location to the old historic centre.

1- The duvet I had was dark blue and had some hair (looked like cat’s hair). I think a simple white duvet looks much more cleaner. 2- The room was cold, I put the Air conditioner but I don’t think it was working. (Or maybe I couldn’t manage the remote control)

It is sitiuted in 10min walk from the historic center. It has an old retro Italian vibe but with too many trinkets.

It is really noisy because it is on the 1 floor and on the road. Before booking we thought that the noise is because people sleep on open windows through summer but it is really nosy with closed windows and shutters. There was no warm water the evening although we tried to left it till warm. But we only got cold water. The next morning we tried again but nothing. Probably you have to leave the tab open till warm water because when the hostess came she showed us that. But if you do not know that you close the tab at one point.
