Such a beautiful property to end our travels around the South Island. Only there for 1 night but wish we’d stayed for longer. Lovely breakfast and exceptional hosts! Would recommend to anyone.

Honestly, every aspect was fabulous, just what I was looking for. Rhonda and Wal were perfect hosts (hope you’ve got that puzzle finished for me, Wal…!), Rhonda has great communication skills that really reach all types of clients. I saw this beautiful cottage 12 yrs ago on my first trip to Akaroa, and always wanted to stay; bucket list - ✅ thank you so much.

"A charming stay with charming hosts"

French Bay house was charming, beautifully restored , paying homage to its original era. Hosts were amazing and friendly, an amazing breakfast with all the small touches. A shame to only stay 1 night.

Excellent location in the heart of town. Breakfast was well balanced and tasty

2 towels per person would be appreciated but I know it’s not common in New Zealand. I am sure had we asked we could have gotten more towels.

This was the best place to stay and explore Akoroa from. Such a gorgeous building, and the location is perfect for casual strolls to nearby restaurants and bars. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. We left wishing we had booked a longer stay, and would absolutely go back again.

Petit cottage très sympa; Seulement 3 ou 4 chambres; très intimiste. Accueil très sympa. Situation parfaite

Les chambres sont petites, difficile de s'installer pour plusieurs jours.
