French Bay House

Friendly staff, great location and delicious breakfast

The house is very well located with Akaroa, with parking spaces available in the streets nearby. Our room was very clean and well decorated. The breakfast was very good, and the hosts were extremely welcoming.

A lovely old house beautifully looked after with lovely lounge and dining room areas. The room was an adequate space with a good bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable . An excellent choice for breakfast and very tasty. Rhonda was a very friendly manager.

The house is unique and homelike. Everyone was very nice and breakfast was excellent, mainly the opportunity to meet and interact with the other guests.

This was our first night in New Zealand and we could not have asked for a better start to our trip. The house had such a warm and welcoming feeling. It was cold when we arrived and the fireplace was already on, which made it so cosy. Ronda was incredibly kind and gave us some great recommendations for restaurants and a walk, including the Childrens Bay walk which we loved. The breakfast is a must, with delicious homemade granola, and was honestly the best hotel breakfast we have ever had. We only stayed for one night but wished we could have stayed longer. We would love to come back to French Bay House on our next holiday. Thank you Ronda.
