Très bien accueilli dès notre réservation, Nicola nous a indiqué des emplacements gratuits pour notre véhicule et nous a bien guidé jusqu’au logement, après la visite du logement typique très propre et bien rénové il nous a donné tous les conseils nécessaires à notre séjour. Literie confortable et petit déjeuner parfait. Nous recommandons ce logement.

Nous avons voulu vivre l’expérience unique de dormir dans un Sasso à Matera, et le logement de Nicola a été un excellent choix. Authentique et typique, il est idéalement situé pour découvrir la ville. Nous avons exploré Matera en fin de journée puis de nuit, et l’ambiance était tout simplement magique. Le matin, un petit-déjeuner très généreux nous attendait : pain à la tomate, croissant, fruits frais et boissons, parfait pour faire le plein d’énergie avant notre randonnée. Nicola et son père sont d’une grande gentillesse et très accueillants. Ils contribuent à rendre le séjour encore plus mémorable grâce à leur hospitalité et à toutes les petites attentions qu’ils portent à leurs hôtes. Nous repartons avec de très beaux souvenirs.

Excellent stay in the heart of the Sassi. This was a wonderful place to stay while visiting Matera. The location is fantastic, right in the center of the Sassi and only about a 10–15 minute walk from the train station. It is situated on one of the main streets, making it easy to explore all the major sights, restaurants, and viewpoints on foot. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Everything was spotless upon arrival, and the property was cared for with great attention to detail. Nicola was an exceptional host. He speaks perfect English and provided detailed recommendations on what to see and do in Matera. He was always available to answer questions and made me feel very welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day. As with most accommodations in the Sassi, there are lots of stairs in the area. However, because the property is located on one of the main streets, access is easier than at many other locations in the Sassi. If you are traveling with a small suitcase that you can comfortably carry if needed, reaching the property is quite easy.

Dormire in grotta é un'esperienza unica e assolutamente da fare almeno una volta...poi a Marera é assolutamente obbligatoria!!!

He provided clear information and excellent recommendations, and even surprised us with a unique and beautiful place to stay. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh and carefully prepared products. A special mention goes to Nicolas’ homemade coffee, which was absolutely fantastic and one of the highlights of our stay. It was also wonderful to meet his father, whose pride and passion for the place were truly inspiring. Together, they create a warm and authentic atmosphere that makes guests feel at home. This is more than just a place to stay—it is an experience. A dream location with exceptional hospitality. We would return without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone looking for something truly special. ❤️

Everything was great

Emplacement parfait au centre du vieux quartier de matera. Tout se visite à pied mais attention beaucoup d’escaliers c’est glissant. Le propriétaire nous a donné gentiment des explications très claires pour se garer, arriver au logement et pour visiter la ville ainsi que des adresses de restaurants. Passer une nuit à matera c’est très bien. Dormir dans une grotte c’est amusant une fois pour l’expérience mais on peut imaginer que ce n’était pas l’idéal pour y vivre.
