Staying at Il Cucú was the absolute highlight of the trip. We loved it. The room we got had a lot of space and it was super clean. The location is excellent but most importantly, the hosts are incredible. They treat their guests with such genuine care, generosity and hospitality. I can’t recommend this place enough

"Greatly location for visiting Matera."

Great location - only a 5/10 min walk to cave area. Easy to park and leave car then walk around town. Lovely room and bathroom with breakfast served outside on the terrace. Would definitely stay again! Lovely host who was very friendly and very helpful with info.

Very clean property, walking distance to the Sassi. The breakfast was excellent, the host and her dad were very accommodating.
