Excellent location very private and quiet, great view lovely breakfast. Mike and Maree are excellent helpful hosts.

Mike and Maree are, as so many have said here, wonderful hosts. Mike, who works from home was there if we ever needed him. They rent out an upstairs bedroom - spacious enough for two people and serve a lovely continental breakfast. The house is on an incline but that provides a wonderful view of the sunrise - if you wake up for it. It's walkable (about 10 minutes) from Napier center and close to shops, restaurants and the waterfront.

Mike and Maree were great people. Breakfast was really good. Watching the sunrise from our bedroom balcony was stunning. Pick up from the airport was supplied, Advice to get about Napier was very helpful. Paying the bill was very easy. Will go back if we are in Napier again.

Wonderful accommodation! Breakfast was extremely thoughtful and delicious. The whole stay exceeded our expectations. Views from the room are incredible, especially if you catch the sunrise. Location is great, can walk to centre of town. Do note: the driveway is very steep and long (it is a shared driveway for multiple houses) so walking back up may be difficult for some. This was our best accommodation in New Zealand. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks Maree and Mike (and Dougal)!

Fabulous location - very close to town yet private and quiet. Superb views of Napier and the Bay. The room was delightfully decorated. Ver comfortable bed.

Mike and Maree are magnificent hosts that will go above and beyond to accommodate their guests. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable & the breakfast superb! The view from the balcony is wonderful; we really enjoyed watching the sunrise from the bed. The wi-fi connection is strong and we even watched a couple of movies using Mike & Maree's streaming service subscription. We also loved Dougal, Mike & Maree's adorable, incredibly well-behaved dog. Thank you for making our stay so memorable Mike & Maree! See you next time!

Everything. Fantastic suite room with amazing roof balcony to enjoy the complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. The hosts were amazing serving a delicious continental breakfast and great tips on the best restaurants

Hadn’t realised this was a home stay when booking but the room was excellent. Nice en suite very comfortable bed and furniture . Great large screen tv . Very good breakfast with Mike, maree and Dougle the dog . Terrific sunrises from the bedroom window.
