Everything was fantastic! The accommodations were wonderful, breakfast was amazing! Our host helped us with places to see, places to eat, very friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! A++

"Home from home - very high standard quality accommodation and service."

Exceptional quality and comfort. Very spacious bedroom and sitting area. Would be great for a business person working away from home. Very friendly and helpful hostess. Only 10 miles from Kirkwall.

The Old Schoolhouse Guesthouse is easy to find being a few hundred metres from the main road, only a few minutes from the ferry terminal at St Margaret's Hope. Close to the local village shop, bus stop and hotel. Flexible and welcoming check in. Accommodation extremely well appointed with double bedroom, en-suite shower room, private sitting room with sofa-bed. TV in both sitting room and bedroom with good wifi connection. Fridge, microwave, water, soft drinks, the usual tea and coffee making facilities. Daily checks on guest requirements. Breakfast options wide ranging, freshly prepared and plentiful. Laundry service available at a nominal, additional charge. Loads of tourist information and Janice was very helpful and knowledgeable in relation changes to access/ closure of historic sites. Would highly recommend and use again when in Orkney.
