We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious property, which was bright and clean. It features a glassed in sitting area where you could sit and enjoy the view. The apartment includes a large bedroom and walk in closet and roomy bathroom. We especially appreciated the sitting room with microwave and refrigerator and dining area. It was relaxing to be able to pick up some groceries and prepare them in our own space after traveling for several weeks. This would be a wonderful place to stay for an extended period to explore the sights on Orkney. The roads are good and the traffic is light allowing easy access to everything you want to see. The host is extremely gracious and welcoming. She went out of her way to make our stay outstanding. We would love to come back to this property and stay a longer time.

The host is really lovely and can't do enough for her guests. She took really good care of us! The rooms themselves are very nice. It's more like a self-catering accommodation than a standard B&B as the facilities are incredible.

The breakfast was slightly dry - I think if I visit again I would probably order a smaller breakfast.

Fabulous place to stay. It is a nice location, a beautiful garden, many birds and it's very quiet. Owner is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is excellent. We recommend this place for your stay at Orkney!

Everything was exceptional at this wonderful B & B. Janice has thought of everything a traveler could possible need and a few things beyond that. We arrived at our suite in the early afternoon and Janice warmly welcomed us. Our lodging included a cozy private entrance with sunroom, a large bedroom with walk in closet, a sitting room with microwave and refrigerator, and a spotless bathroom. Janice was a wonderful guide and resource for things to do in Orkney and offered both her suggestions as well as numerous pamphlets highlighting the top attractions. Our breakfasts were extraordinary as well with a wide variety of fresh fruit including fresh strawberries from Janice's garden, freshly ground coffee, and other local fare making up a perfect Scottish start to the day. The location is picturesque with views of the sea as well as rolling farmland. The property is easy to find, just off the main road with numerous signs showing the Old School B & B Title.

Janice was very helpful and gave us great advice for activities and restaurants. The decor was lovely, the breakfast was delicious, we would definitely stay there again.
