Palazzo Maggiore

Lovely historic house. Central location.

Very warm welcome and attentive hosts who made sure our stay was enjoyable. Excellent advice and recommendations for local restaurants. Stylish and elegant accommodation and very comfortable bed.

The Palazzo was built in 1559 and the decor adds charm and elegance to the rooms. Our room was much larger than we expected, with a comfortable large room for seating, dining or game playing. It also had a private terrazzo! Marco, the host is lovely! He provided great advice about the city, the sights, local transportation and restaurants. He served great breakfasts to start our days of walking in the Villas! We would highly recommend staying at this BnB.

Gaia is a lovely host, and we appreciated her recommendations for where to eat (Alfredo's Trattoria is nearby, and excellent value). This is a fantastic old building, and we were happy to have the ground floor rooms and a small enclosed patio for our use. Despite the extreme heat during our stay, we had no need for the aircon - we stayed beautifully cool. Gaia serves breakfast upstairs, on her first floor terrace - a great way to start the day. Very handy for Villa d'Este and shopping :)

No TV - but we didn't notice!

We enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Maggiore. Our hosts, Monica and Marco, were exceptionally accommodating! We enjoyed all that Tivoli has to offer and in addition the towns in the surrounding areas. Breakfast was good and especially our morning cappuccinos! Thank you both for a delightful stay.
