B&B I miti dell Etna Catania Centro vicino Via Etnea

The room is in a residency building on the 4th floor, basically a flat divided to rooms and with a common area for breakfast or cooking. We chose it for it's location, the proximity of the market and the room with view on the Etna, which luckily we could enjoy. We came by car and parked in the parking 2 minutes from the place, paid 24 Euros for 36 hours (12 euros for 12-24 hours range), it's impossible to park on the street due to market every day. The room is nice, clean, bad is a bit hard, but we are easy going with that, breakfast is good. We could leave our luggage for a few hours more after check out, which was a plus. We communicated with Martina via WhatsApp, all went very smooth and met at one of the breakfasts, very kind person. The key system requires some practice but once you learn it, it's easy:)

I wanted to stay here because of the view on the market and Etna but we forgot that it also means more noise and dirt. The noise from the early morning was not that bothering rather one of the latino bar on the square which had the music on nearly all night long (this of course cannot be controlled by the hosts) and the closed windows did not keep the noise out. We had earbuds with us, so that solved the issue, just good to bear in mind. It is still worth staying there for the cleanness, view and vibe.

Nice place and gentil host. My only complaint would be the wifi.

The apartment has shared fully equipped kitchen with fridge+freeze and coffee maker, which was very beneficial during our stay. The apartment was clean, and the bed was so comfy. There were clean towels (3 of each size, per person), hair dryer, soap, body wash, toilet paper. We were glad that bathroom was private within the same apartment unit as bedroom. The location of apartment is great! It is a few minutes away from the city center, and around 15-20 mins from bus/train station. There is a street market every day (except Sunday) just right in front of a building, but it is not noisy inside the apartment. Also, there is a market (store) near (just around a corner). If you are coming from the airport there is an ALIBUS line station near the apartment. The whole process from reservation, entering to the building, entering to the apartment was fully automated, which was strange at the beginning, but the host was responsive and supportive.

My room overlooking huge market which set up very early! Access via phone confusing for non tech person.

The position was perfect, right in the centre. The self check in allowed us to arrive and settle in autonomously. Comfortable, soft mattress

Nothing, but if you are driving you have to find a garage-Carpark few blocks away as the streets are busy with the market in the mornings
