Gortamullen House, Kenmare

We stayed as a family of three adults at Gortamullen House for two nights, with the reservation made through Booking.com. Our problems started as soon as we arrived: the coordinates provided on Booking.com did not lead to the correct location. We lost a considerable amount of time trying to find the property and eventually had to call the owner twice. In the end, she had to come and pick us up in the village of Kenmare. When we finally arrived, I immediately thanked her for coming to get us. However, her reaction was extremely aggressive. Instead of acknowledging that the coordinates displayed on Booking.com were incorrect, she reproached me in a very unpleasant tone for not following an email she had sent after the booking. When the two members of my family joined us, she immediately told them that everything was my fault, publicly blaming and humiliating me without even giving me the opportunity to explain that I had simply followed the information provided on Booking.com. I found her attitude deeply inappropriate and disrespectful. The room itself was average at best, and the bathroom was outdated. Of the two light fixtures, one did not work at all and the other flickered constantly. The breakfast was also very disappointing, consisting mainly of bread, butter, and jam — probably the worst breakfast we have had in Ireland in more than twenty years of travelling there. Throughout the entire stay, the owner maintained a cold and insulting attitude toward me, speaking only to the rest of my family while deliberately ignoring me. Finally, at check-out, she refused to provide me with an invoice, claiming that Booking.com was responsible for issuing it. Despite three complaints submitted through Booking.com that went unanswered, I eventually had to threaten to report the matter to the Irish Revenue Commissioners before she finally sent the invoice — without a single word of apology. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had in Ireland.

Very quiet. Great location just a short walk out on Kenmare.

A 10mn du centre ville Bien pour une nuit Petit déjeuner faut maison Accueil

Ne pas utiliser Waze pour rejoindre le lieu mais plutôt Google. La route pour y aller est parfaitement asphaltée. Donc si le GPS vous conduit sur un chemin de pierre faire demi-tour.

Bon emplacement a proximité du centre ville, hôte très agréable soucieuse de notre bien être
