Cragside Guest House

Very good hosts. Welcomed us to the property, showed us to our room and were very friendly and pleasant. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order, hearty and delicious. The walk was a pleasant 10 minutes to central Keswick and 5 minutes to the park.it was very quiet and we slept very well. We would absolutely recommend this lovely b and b. Thank you to the hosts!

Local and quality ingredients for generous breakfast, also half breakfasts and any swops/ special requests accommodated. Hosts very attentive to guests needs eg oat milk for one of us. Quiet, convenient location, ample parking, fantastic views of surrounding fells.

Being really picky, please could you provide some some de-caf tea/coffee in the room before our next visit........We appreciated the offer of fresh milk and the filling of flasks.

Alison and Wayne were lovely and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. Really friendly, room was lovely and was perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was very tasty and well presented. The view was amazing! Would definitely stay there again!

The owners, Wayne and Alison, were so polite and helpful, especially with Wayne telling me about the nearby bus stop and route to Troutbeck, as I was joining some friends there for a hike nearby. The room was very comfortable and spacious enough with an excellent shower. Nice big sash windows which were a little heavy to lift up (I'm thinking more for older people or anyone with any wrist/hand issues), but it was nice and quiet there for the most part. I had a lovely breakfast on the Sunday morning before I left. There is a bus stop just a mere 5 mins away and the bus service is pretty decent/regular. There's also a lovely little park and stream (Fitz Park), just next to the bus stop that runs alongside the main road. Overall, this was definitely worth staying at and I would happily stay there again or recommend it to anyone else.

The only real nitpick wasn't really to do with the place itself, just more whomever was staying above me on the Friday night, seemed to be a little noisy coming up the stairs and going into their room etc., But thankfully, it wasn't for too long and it certainly wasn't anything to complain about officially. I do realise noise carries more so in certain places than others!
