Estrellita's Bed & Breakfast

When we arrived the owner was there and he gave us a better room which he said was "his mom's favorite room". It was a charming room with it's own private patio and garden and two nice lounge chairs and a table and chairs. We enjoyed sitting out there to eat and to just enjoy the weather. We were hungry when we arrived so we asked the owner to recommend a restaurant for lunch. He said there was one a few doors down the street but it was closing in 30 minutes. We needed to go get some pesos as we only had a few left and he said he'd give us a ride to the ATM, and loaned us 1500 pesos to buy our lunch first. After lunch he took us to the ATM and gave us a tour of Ajijic which was quite interesting. He even took us to a grocery store and showed us some places for rent and for sale. The next morning at breakfast we chatted with him and another couple from PV for about thirty minutes and learned more about the town. The other people who work there (Jesse and others) were very helpful also, including telling us they had fresh bakery items at 8 am in the morning. I got some and they were really good. We spent the rest of our time simply walking around the town central area and plaza. and along Lake Chapala. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend you check out Estralitta's. You can't go wrong.

Everything was great, the place is centrally located and very clean, the coffee and food are delicious, the atmosphere delightful, a great place to meet people, the owners top notch! Lake Chappala Society is right next door, a great place for resources. Our experience was a 10!

The location was excellent! A little more than a block to the lakefront and very close to restaurants and the main square. Our room was perfect with a patio/courtyard in front and a patio in the back. The breakfast was great! The hosts were amiable and welcoming.

Not the fault of the property but a reality in older Mexican towns is that you can't flush TP down the toilet.

Location was excellent within walking distance of many great restaurants. Quaint, boutique property with just 7 rooms. Amanda the owner couldn't have been more helpful as well as all the staff Lovely sitting out area out the back

The bed was a little small for us and the maintenance was somewhat lacking with a very loose bedroom door handle and loose taps at the basin. It took a very long time for hot water to appear wasting a lot of water in the process. Breakfast was good but a set meal each day

It's a very cute place! We stayed in the big two bedroom unit at the back, and it was safe and comfortable. Very clean, fully equipped, very pretty. The beds were very good, which is not a given in Mexico!

Water pressure and temperature were not great in the upstairs bathroom and only okay in the downstairs one. Also: no hair dryer.

The property like the city is very old and charming. It is in a heart of everything that you might want to see or a lot of restaurants and very close to the lake. The staff, especially Maggie were delightful and friendly , and very helpful.Breakfast served was very good but lacked variety. The coffee and pastries they sell at breakfast and during the morning hours is wonderful.

Unfortunately, one of the long-standing “regulars“ dog, although cute, woke everyone up at 6:30 every morning. Barking very loudly. I do realize when I booked it this was a dog friendly place one of the reasons why I actually picked it because I do believe in dog, friendly places, but well-behaved dogs. The only other issue was housekeeping. The floors weren’t touched in the week that we were there nor was the shower and the shower curtain was disgusting. The twin bed in the room was more like a cot.

We really loved the hospitality and the coziness of the place. The room was very comfortable and had all the required amenities. Would love to visit again
