Location, parking, good sized room, characterful

Our stay was very good and we were comfortable - thank you. Our bathroom would have benefitted from a shelf above the towel rail below the mirror to hold a makeup bag as no dressing table in bedroom. USB sockets either side of bed would be good or a least replace the single for a twin socket on one side. Background music in the dining room would have been nice as room very quiet. Was uncomfortable leaving keys on leaving in an open pot on the side with back door ajar - perhaps arrange a secure deposit box if staff unavailable?

Good location

Our bedroom needed a good clean. There was a thick layer of dust along the headboard. There were dead flies in the bathroom light. The shower seal was dirty. Glasses in the room were not clean. Only one hand towel in bedroom so had to get one from another empty room.Breakfast disappointing undercooked egg,asked for brown toast and got white. Next day didn’t get asked what kind of toast just got white and it was burnt. Black pudding raw.Very little interaction with owner didn’t really engage with us about what we were doing or where we were going. Best member of staff was the lady who was on duty first morning. Got the feeling that owner wasn’t really bothered about guests

A warm welcome. Clean, beautifully presented house. Comfortable room with attention to detail and everything provided. A hot, delicious breakfast.

Everything excellent

Great location

Very tired rooms that need a good clean. Lots of dust on headboard.Dead flies in light in the bathroom,shower trim dirty. Breakfast on first day ok but undercooked poached egg. Asked for brown toast and got white. Second day we were just given white toast without asking and it was burnt. Black pudding was raw.Very disappointing after reading good reviews before booking.

The property was located on the market square next to a mini roundabout but the room was quiet. The facilities were clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a mini fridge with fresh milk and a bottle of water. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice including fresh fruit and full Yorkshire breakfast.

It would have been good to have lined curtains to cut out some of the daylight. The car park at the back of the property was very small and quite awkward to park in.

Very friendly staff, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. Great location, handy for fantastic walks and a good choice of places to eat.
