The 3 brothers who run akilpo are the best !!! They advise and provide in the best hikes and guides. They are super friendly, and so patient. They explain everything in detail, so you know exactly what to do and where to go, which is nice ehen it’s your first time in huaraz and the mountains. The hotel is super clean, the beds are amazing comfotable.

The staff helped us book the day tours in Huaraz. Very friendly and knowledgeable, they went in depth when giving us the options. We got there much earlier than the check-in time, and they tried (and did) help us check-in earlier. Would definitely recommend!

Where should I start? You can't go wrong with a booking at Akilpo. The rooms are of a high standard and have been built relatively recently. It is very clean and there is plenty of hot water in the shower. The beds are very large and comfortable. The included breakfast is plentiful with fruit, pancakes, yoghurt, granola and more and fresh eggs are prepared to order. The entire staff is simply lovely and very helpful in all matters. I booked my tours here and was advised competently and seriously. The experiences on the tours and hikes were excellent and absolutely corresponded to the descriptions in advance.

Outstanding staff that will do everything they can to make your experience in Huaraz as best as it can be. They will not only arrange tours and give you important tips about the area, but also help you with anything you need. Great quiet location just a few minutes walk from restaurants, bars, markets etc. The rooms are big, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is always fresh and tasty.

Best Hotel for your stay in Huaraz. Everything was just perfect. The staff is awesome, honest, professional, funny and very helpful. They have a great knowledge about all kinds of hikes and are very aware that not every hike is for everyone. They give you advises depending on your fitness level and what you want. The room was nice and the bed very comfortable. After staying in Akilpo for 5 nights, we would defenitely come back to this place and recommend it to everyone who wants to have a good time and great expierience for hiking.

The team at Akilpo are incredible. They go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience including helping you to plan and organise trips, transport, currency, places to eat...I cannot praise them enough. The accommodation was excellent - very central location, large comfy bed, great shower, and an amazing view of the mountains. Breakfast every morning was varied and tasty: fruit, bread, cereals and eggs however you like it. I would highly recommend this accommodation. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Huaraz.
