"Lovely base when visiting Hawkes Bay"

Stayed here for 11 nights while visiting family in the area. Thistle B&B was perfect for our needs and gave us some private space when we needed it. Gwen was the perfect host, always available when needed but invisible the rest of the time. Breakfast was good, bed was very comfortable and the location was also very good, just a few mins walk from Taradale shops and cafes.

"Lovely B&B, well situated for exploring Napier and its environs"

All looked very new and very clean. Very comfortable bed. Very friendly welcome and local information from the owner. It said on Booking.com that there was no parking available but in fact there is off road parking right next to the unit. Lots of breakfast stuff left in the fridge each day. There is a bit of noise from the road outside (we had the windows open at night) but it didn’t really disturb us. Nice steak dinners at Shani’s Family Eatery a short walk along the road

"Our stay was very enjoyable we wished we could have stayed longer."

Breakfast was fantastic, everything you could possibly want. Fresh and tasty and topped up every day.

The only downside at all was beyond our hosts control - the road which went past the property was quite busy, so there was some traffic noise.

"Great stay"

Nice BB 10-min away from Napier by car. Venue is renovated and spotless; comfy bed and great TV channels!! you can park own car. Fresh products provided for breakfast. Hosts very courteous and approachable. So thoughtful they left fresh juices and beer for us on day of arrival! Thank YOU!

Fabulous room, a home from home. Location good to visit Napier. Breakfast choices,cereal,ham,cheese toast excellent. Gwen is the perfect host.
