Location was good. Good lay out of dinning room and lounge . Breakfast was great

Room was bit small

This is by far the best place we have stayed. Warren, his wife Jeweline and son were incredible! They were friendly, polite and couldn’t do enough; They are so helpful and gave great advice on where to visit during our stay which we took on board and were very glad we did! Our room was spotless and really comfortable! Wi-Fi was strong too. Hot tub was bonus! Hot, powerful shower with everything you need from first aid to little aeroplanes sweets. The aviation theme was a lovely touch along with hearing some of Warrens wonderful stories. Really had a family feel to it. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings with attractions close by reachable by car. Breakfast was really lovely. There really isn’t anything to complain about, we would 100% love to stay again. It was a pleasure to meet you and thank you once again. From both of us!

Wow, Exceptional! From the owners Warren/Jeweline, the facilities, absolutely exceptional, the cleanliness and most of all a great evening spent with some lovely guests and the owners, sat by the Hottub, super BBQ, views and lovely conversation. Warren is super knowledgeable and learnt more about NZ in one night than we have during the whole visit. Lovely company, great breakfast and all super clean, well presented with some lovely touches, homemade biscuits, all to make our stay an absolute pleasure. Great value for money. Would love to come again...

Could not recommend this lodge more. Beautiful and peaceful setting, and the owners make every effort to make this an excellent stay. From Warren sharing incredible knowledge of the area, making sure the hot tub was available for use and that you were aware of every hike/activity in the vicinity, to his wife making everything spotless and seamless. The rooms and bed were very comfortable, everything was extremely clean and every detail clearly thought about. Congratulations to both, only had a one night quick stay but would have no hesitation to stay again! Thanks, Leo

Don’t be spooked by the neighbour’s ‘castle’ on the way to this beautiful lodge

We were greeted with a very warm, friendly welcome. There were exceptional extras provided, such as the range of teas available, and bowls of jet plane lollies. The twin room was extremely comfortable and was next door to the very well-equipped bathroom, which was easily accessible to all three rooms. The breakfast of fresh fruit, cereals, toast, and a range of preserves was outstanding. The outdoor seating area was very comfortable, and the cake was iced with an unexpected hot tub. Overall, it was great value for money; highly recommended.
