Park House Guest House

Stayed here overnight on a long journey. Everything fine. Very happy with the accommodation, hence a very satisfied 10/10.

Tripped over a couple of gotchas, though not the fault of the owner (lovely chap). 1, The room must be paid for in cash on arrival – my fault, I missed the message from Booking.com. 2, No breakfast! This is Google's fault: the description in G-Maps clearly (& incorrectly) categorises this guest house as a B&B (it isn't), *AND* it says that breakfast is available. It isn't. The owner hasn't served breakfast in over 2 years. The details in Booking.com are correct and I should've spotted this discrepancy. C'mon Google, get this entry updated. Why is it taking you over 2 years?

I was very disappointed with my stay. The room was dirty, with food left on the floor from previous guests. As soon as I walked in, I turned around and walked straight back out due to the poor cleanliness. While I understand the price was only £45.00, I still expected a clean and hygienic room to stay in. The photos online do not reflect the actual condition of the room, which was completely different from what was advertised.

The mattress was old and every spring in it could be felt. I only managed to sleep on it by placing two duvets, which we found in the cupboard, on top of it.

Perfect base for Warwick Folk Festival (25 minute walk).
