The Windmill Inn - Whitby

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good too, very generous portions. Great location for Whitby, the park and ride isn't far away.

The room only had a bath, no shower. Probably not a problem for the young and fit. Only had one bedside table, nowhere to put phone, jewellery etc.

Quiet and convenient! Staff very friendly and accommodating!! Breakfasts very good.

This was poorly represented and misleading by booking.com. We were under the impression that the accommodation would be a chalet with en-suite facilities! The shepherds huts were poorly presented in need of maintenance! The one toilet and shower was inadequate for the number of potential guests!

Stayed for 2 nights to attend a local wedding. Room was clean, staff friendly, unfortunately we didn’t get time to experience the pub due to being at the wedding, closing time is relatively early so you’re night isn’t disturbed by loud noise from below. Breakfast was beautiful with plenty of choices.

The staff were welcoming and first class during our short stay. The location was very handy, just on the outskirts of Whitby, and very quiet. The bacon at breakfast was some of the best I've ever had!

It wasn't clear that the shower and toilet were separate from the (very nice) cabins, but it was summer and even though all four cabins were occupied there was no queue situation so all was well.

The staff here are ever so friendly and the pub and breakfast was superb. We mistakenly believed that there was a toilet in the Shepherds hut, there is not and when one needs the toilet overnight, then it becomes a real pain. The hut looked tatty from outside but was spacious and clean with a kettle, water, tea & coffee provided. Unfortunately, there isn't a window to open, so unless you leave the door ajar the hut becomes stuffy. We tried to get a taxi into Whitby, but none seemed available so it was a 2 mile walk in to town which fortunately was downhill, but quite arduous coming back.

Only one shower and WC between 4 huts. No opening window.

Great food and staff, lovely place ...

Broken bed, no fans in the huts ..a little bit of tlc and they would have been brilliant, fine tuning required
