"Quirky Unique Experience with Friendly Caretaker Steve. Deffo one to revisit"

10.0

I was very anxious as i had read previous reviews. However. The place has new management who are doing an amazing job. Working very hard. The caretaker Steve was absolutely amazing. Friendly helpful and gave an amazing tour. I swear this place will go from better to better now the right people are on board. If you want quirky. This is the place for you. The communal area was very comfortable too an it’s so not like a hotel. It’s a quirky experience where you leave as friends. I left vowing to return and adding three fellow guests as friends on my fb. It’s unique. Quirky. In a beautiful setting with an example lovely friendly caretaker.

Nothing.

"We had a great time, it’s a nice place to stay but don’t expect luxury."

7.0

The place has got the feel of a hostel which is a nice change from conventional hotels. It’s more like a communal AirBnb than a hotel. It’s surrounded by a lovely countryside with nearby pubs. The place itself has outdoor tables and a big lawn for kids to play. The communal dining area is quirky and friendly with possibility to buy tea, coffee, hot chocolate and warm food up in the microwave. Steve was welcoming and very helpful.

Generally, the beds could get an upgrade, they are a bit small. The floor in our room was a bit damp after a shower.

"Had a lovely time"

7.0

Great place to spend a few days in South Wales. No fuss, communal area with tea/coffee, a kettle and a microwave.

Beds a bit small, a bit noisy depending on the other guests around. Bring some earplugs.
