Sri Lancashire Guest House

The house is incredibly clean and well kept, the rooms beautifully presented and breakfast on the balcony is a highlight every day. Wasantha also provides a great service with his tuk tuk taking us shopping, to the bank and to dinner - as well as organising a river safari. Just across the road from a fantastic beach. Thoroughly recommended.

There is some raid noise but it wasn’t a problem.

Die beste Unterkunft, die ich in Sri Lanka hatte & ich hatte viele sehr gute! Die Hilfsbereitschaft und Gastfreundlichkeit der Hosts sind unglaublich, die Zimmer mit so viel Liebe gestaltet und das Frühstück der absolute Wahnsinn! Wenn ich könnte, würde ich eine 12/10 vergeben!

Absolut gar nichts!

Hosting was exceptional, we got welcome drinks and even a goodbye gift. Breakfast was abundant and we could have it on our own balcony. Room was spacious and had a nice ambient. The beach is 5 minutes walking.

The internet package that they have is not proper. They tried to solve the problem but we were left with limited internet.

Die Unterkunft war sehr gepflegt, sauber und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Schon der Empfang war etwas ganz Besonderes: Nishanthi und Wasantha haben uns mit einer Blumenkette und einer King Coconut begrüßt und das gesamte Zimmer war wunderschön mit Blumen dekoriert. The best breakfast ever!!! Es wurde von dem herzlichen Mitarbeiter auf dem eigenen Balkon serviert und alle Speisen erklärt. Was nicht aufgegessen wurde, durfte eingepackt und mitgenommen werden, in bereitgestellte Tüten! Zum schönen menschenleeren Strand geht es nur über die Straße, viele Restaurants mit Meerblick sind fußläufig erreichbar. Wasantha bietet sein Tuktuk für Ausflüge und Restaurant-Besuche an, ein Auto für weitere Fahrten gibt es auch. Wir sind dankbar für die schöne Zeit und empfehlen sehr gerne weiter.

The most incredible stay to finish our trip. The hosts were really fantastic, from the moment we entered we felt truly welcomed and their kindness didn’t go unnoticed. All the little extras they offered blew us away, and we left sad not having spent more time here. The rooms were huge, clean and had everything you needed and the breakfast was amazing especially sat on the terrace. Thanks again for the best stay and cannot wait to return!

One of the best stays on our Sri Lanka trip! The breakfast was exceptional, always with freshly pressed juice and fresh fruits. The hosts are incredibly friendly, welcoming us with flowers and refreshments, and personally seeing us off. The accommodation is spotless and beautifully decorated with attention to detail. We would book again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it!

Zeer schoon en nette kamer, regelmatige schoonmaak en verversing van handdoeken en beddegoed. Voldoende kastruimte met kluisje aanwezig, en mini koelkast. Zeer goed ontbijt voorzien van veel fruit en sri lanka specialiteiten voor ons teveel, kregen plastic zakje om het te bewaren voor later op de dag. Eigenaars zeer behulpzaam met vervoer en excursie's. Kortom zeer goede en pretige ervaring komen zeker nog eens terug als wij in sri lanka zijn.

Eigenlijk niets,wij zouden heel lang moeten denken om iets te vinden.

Wir haben uns in diesem Guesthouse sehr wohl gefühlt! Das Zimmer ist geräumig und stilvoll eingerichtet. Das Paar, welches das Guesthouse führt, ist sehr hilfsbereit und fuhr uns mit dem tuktuk sogar mehrmals kostenlos zu gewünschten Zielorten. Und das Frühstück ist einfach ein Traum!

Das einzige, was uns nicht so gefallen hat, ist dass man zum Strand die Hauptstrasse überqueren muss. Insbesondere da wir mit Baby reisen, war es uns nicht so wohl an der Strasse entlang zu laufen.

The couple who own this guest house are wonderfully kind and friendly hosts. Our room was spotless and was beautifully presented with fresh flowers. We had a balcony where we were served the most delicious and generous breakfast. The beach is 2 minutes walk away across the road where there is a restaurant/bar with sun loungers ( free if you eat or drink something). We loved this place… could have stayed much longer. We’ll be back.

A bit of traffic noise but if you want to be close to the beach that’s the small price you pay. The other benefits of the guest house more than make up for the noise.
