The Lake Paradise Boutique Resort

Right next to the canal, and the view was stunning. Had a room with the canal view. Rooms were spacious. Food from the restaurant was delicious and was cooked just before it was served. Breakfast was outstanding as it was again freshly cooked.

I was not aware that there was no road to the hotel. I had to go to a boat jetty from where a boat picked us up. If you are coming with a car, you may need to find a parking. (There is one next to jetty but have to pay) Few items like tea/ coffee maker, as mentioned on booking.com, did not exist in the room. (We booked 2 rooms). No toilet papers in the toilets but were given when asked. No hand towel provided. Pictures on the booking.com of the king room with lake view differs from the one we stayed in. Probably they took the pictures from better-looking ones and they were already occupied when we arrived. It is built on a small compound so, if you are planning to stay longer than a night, then you should plan to have some books or other sort of entertainment. Note that you can not walk around the premises as there are private properties owned by other people (they are fenced anyway). If you want to go to the main lands, you can get a boat provided by the hotel. Prices for the shikara boat offered by the hotel are on the higher side. I preferred to get one from outside at cheaper rates.

Die Lage direkt am Fluss war unschlagbar. Unsere Terrasse lag direkt am Wasser. Die Anlage war etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber immer noch charmant.

Tolle, saubere Unterkunft mitten in den Backwaters mit einem neuen Pool. Von Balkon / Terrasse / Hängematte kann man die vorbeifahrenden Boote beobachten. Ein besonderes Erlebnis war die Kajak-Tour mit Guide durch die Backwaters.

Fantastic, idyllic location on island in backwaters ( only accessible by boat) - literally on edge of water, kayaks etc available at hotel. C 10 rooms - so quiet/intimate & v authentic & relaxing

The staff is nice and helpful. Everything was fine. The food is good. The breakfast was really nice. Also the location is a little abroad and very relaxing.

Not suited for solo travel. More for Families. Also I would not recommend to take a boat tour, it's too expensive . Rather go with the local ferry. But the stay was nice.
