Trouble checking in. I rang the bell at reception,this lady popped her head around 5mins later saying what did i want. I said checking in. She said the one room,I said no I booked 2. She said she only had me down for one then showed me the booking paper. I said it says 2 rooms with my name and my mates name. She still didn't understand so I showed her on the paper she had. Then asked if I've paid for 2 rooms,I said yes it states it on each room on the bit of paper. Then she said one is an en suite and because she didn't know I had booked another room so it was just a sea view,which is what I booked in the first place. Then apparently if you want breakfast it's £10 a day so I said no thanks. I've stayed here twice before and breakfast used to come with the room. I guess it has changed so no worries. Staff,at least I think that's what they are were always gathered around the front door day and night so kept on having to step over them. Shame really as I used to enjoy staying there but now I'll try elsewhere next time

The location is brilliant. The bed was comfy. The room had everything I needed. It was quiet.

The toilets didn't always have paper in them. The lift was broken and I was on the fourth floor. The number of toilets & showers per number of rooms was quite low (luckily there weren't many guests). The wifi didn't work well - probably because I was on the fourth floor.

My experience in this hotel was one of the worse in my life. The shower was outside the room noone show how to switch on it..the switch on/off was outside the room on top which not everyone can reach. No kettle in the room. No TV reception or signal. No blankets in the room. I couldn'tsleep the whole night as there's was not heating and no blankets. I had to leave the hotel and look for another on my second night. But I paid for 4 nights. They refused to give my money back. After all the inconvenience. Please don't book with them.

Listen to my complaints and take on consideration. Sort things out. Have a better costumer services.

It’s one of the homeliest places I’ve stayed. Feels like you’re visiting family and you’re staying in their house. It’s a fantastically quirky place and has genuine charm. Really enjoyed my few days there.

While it wasn’t a problem for us the lack of a lift could cause problems for others.

Poor customer service. Will not stay again. Or recommend this place to friends that visit regularly.

Hier ist noch der Geist aus der viktorianischen Epoche lebendig. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Restaurants und die Innenstadt sind bequem erreichbar. Insgesamt ein gutes Preis -/ Leistungsverhältnis.
