73 Westend, Balallan, Isle of Lewis

The bed was comfortable, the shower was good. The sitting/kitchen area was very well supplied with everything you could need. The views were lovely. The hosts were welcoming and knowledgeable about the island.

Well equipped property with easy to use facilities like the very snazzy little oven sitting on the bench top. Plentiful breakfast supplies left for our use. We only met Janet who was very friendly and helpful.

I've had bilateral knee replacements so the quite steep stairs down to the kitchen/lounge were bit of a challenge for me. It wouldn't put me off re-booking though.

EVERYTHING in one word. Janet and Mirko are your perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble, and their attention to detail, is second to none. The Bathroom and bedroom are on the first floor, and the lounge is down stairs, with a well stocked fridge and cupboard with all your needs for your continental breakfast, the place is spotless and we would highly recommend a stay here, the views are fantastic and when you leave the property you either turn left for Stornoway or right for Tarbert as its smack in the middle, its quiet and to sum up its like having your own private apartment and we will certainly re-visit again

Absolutely nothing

It’s hard to put into words just how wonderful this B&B is. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated as though we were family. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. We will definitely return here! Thank you Janet and Mirko for your absolute attention to detail and for the wonderful warm welcome.

Wished we could have stayed longer ☹️

The unit was a self contained suite, it was a two level suite with a very nice sitting area and kitchen. It was very well located to see both Lewis and Harris. The hosts very extremely nice and accommodating. It had all the comforts of home including the ability to do a load of laundry!!

The place was great but could use a sign as we drove by it once, having to turn around and have a second look. ( numbers are fairly small and hard to see later in the evening light).

Self contained suite with bedroom and bathroom on top floor and living room/ kitchen below. Janet provided ingredients for breakfast to enable us to get our own when we wanted it. Friendly informative hosts.

No cooked breakfast but ample choice for a continental breakfast inc cereals, juices, ham, yoghurt etc

Brilliant hosts. Comfortable accommodation & Ideal location for visiting both Lewis and Harris.
