The hosts were thoughtful, gracious and generous. The breakfast was delightful. The extra touches in the rooms were unexpected and appreciated!

All was great so I have nothing to say here. Just a comment that the rooms are very much integrated into the family home - we were a great group of different international people staying there at the same time and I enjoyed being part of a ‚new temporary family’ - but even though you can have your privacy I think you need to be open to interaction when staying at Newton Heights :)

Breakfast at Newton Heights is world class. It is up there and may even be the best breakfast I've had. Gail makes everything herself (including the croissants and jam) and it is served with beautiful linen napkins, and a table with flowers alongside a stunning view of the area. Gail and Brendon are wonderful people. We stayed for 3 nights, and in those 3 nights I felt we became very good friends. They went above and beyond in every aspect of our stay to make us feel welcome, and to ensure we enjoyed our time in Akaroa. The accommodation is exceptional with quality linens, comfortable beds and beautifully appointed private ensuites. I would recommend anyone visiting Akaroa to book a night (more if you can) with Brendon ans Gail at Newton Heights. It was the highlight of our week in NZ.

Nothing to be honest,the room I could say is a bit small.

I loved the cosy space, modern furnishing and dedicated hosts! The daily home-made breakfasts were delicious!

Room was a tag small but that’s ok as we could spend time in the living areas

The hosts Gail & Brendon were extremely inviting and made us feel very welcomed. We had some great conversations over some drinks. Having use of the spa was a great way to end the day. The bed was also very comfortable. Then to wake up to an amazing view and cooked breakfast by the hosts themselves was the highlight of our stay at Newton Heights. Felt like luxury accommodation. Will definitely be back for a second stay.
