Cascades Gardens

Nice big bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Tea & coffee facilities, and cold water. Nice and clean. Good breakfast and Alan was a friendly and interesting host. On site parking. The gardens and water features are really pleasant with benches to sit, relax and contemplate, and loved all the Bonsai trees.

Entrance to the parking was a bit narrow.

It's not your average B&B. It's an experience to stay in a Victorian house full of oriental art, with a waterfall outside your bedroom window. Very warm (Derbyshire can get chilly!) A spacious room and immaculate housekeeping. The gardens (and bonsai nursery) which the owner has created over 30 years are very interesting. There's even an old lead mine in the grounds.

There are two pubs within walking distance but be aware that neither are open on Mondays and one only serves food at weekends. It's also very dark at night, but the owner thoughtfully leaves torches for guest use.

The room was very comfortable and is located in beautiful gardens. The host is excellent and there is lots to see in the area.
