I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning bed and breakfast, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget! Fred and Sam are exceptional hosts. This bed and breakfast is nestled by a picturesque lake. The views were absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the sight of the shimmering water outside my window was the perfect way to start each day. The luxurious experience continued with the breakfast each morning. They served the most delicious pastries and fresh fruits, and let’s not forget the bacon and egg baps! They were perfectly cooked, with crispy bacon and fluffy eggs nestled in soft bread they were mouthwatering. It was such a treat to enjoy this delicious food while taking in the stunning lake view from the dining area. Overall, our stay at this bed and breakfast was nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of the beautiful location, luxurious accommodations, and mouthwatering breakfast made it a perfect getaway. I can’t wait to return for another unforgettable experience!

Samantha and Fred could not have been more welcoming. Right from our online booking and through to the end of our stay the communication, attention to detail and warm welcome and hospitality was flawless. The highlight was the daily breakfasts. We had read in other guest reviews about the breakfasts that Sam and Fred magic up, but they have to be tasted to believe. Epic! We also asked Sam to organise a platter by a local chef for our arrival. It’s one of the great options she offers to travellers. Very good value for the stunning array of food. We sat in the sun on the deck with our wine and a fabulous view of the lake. Other meals we took in Cromwell. Perfectly situated for our three days of exploring wineries throughout the Gibbston Valley, Lake Dunstan, and Bannockburn and for day trips into Arrowtown and Queenstown and Wanaka. The local winery Domaine Thompson was only a few minutes away and do a lovely tasting. The modern architecturally-designed stylish apartment had everything we needed. A marvellous roomy bathroom with a super shower. Very private with view across the lawn to the lake. Great complimentary kiwi-style snack basket in the room on arrival. With only two apartment style rooms on the property with seperate outside entrances it’s a restful place to stay. Highly recommended.

The view was amazing! Beautiful bathroom and comfortable bed. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Fabulous breakfasts in an amazing setting.

Internet speed with 1 MBs is very slow! Lakefront is not really from the room, you have to walk through the backyard of the house. Bed is somewhat hard.

Lovely place for wine country. The snacks provided were awesome and the breakfast divine! I can’t recall a better breakfast - the owners go way above and beyond. The passive house concept was new to us and we were glad to have a/c at night since windows don’t open.

The sheets were too stiff for us - we like ultra soft sheets - these seemed starched and the only reason we didn’t give higher rating. Lur sheets at home are tencel or bamboo.
