Blue Bell Inn

The Grays Inn round the corner, and breakfast at the nearby golf course

The fact that at very short notice we found out there was no evening meal or breakfast, and no staff. We were on a walking holiday so this was a real problem. Had the Blue Bell booked a meal for us at Grays Inn we would have understood and been happy, but they did not.

Location.

No staff face to face contact. No breakfast. No restaurant as closed and let out. Heating broken in bathroom. Storage heater not effective or efficient in bedroom. Room therefore cold.

The room was clean with kettle provided.

We booked last year and paid for breakfast which was not available, no refund for this provided. The shower did not work well. No staff on site.

The rooms were well appointed and clean

The stay would have been even better if breakfast had been provided, but I understand that this was not the owner's fault.

When I booked I paid for Bed & Breakfast. The breakfast was not available due to the restaurant downstairs which is attached to the public house, not being open. I did think the owners of the B&B would come to see us during our stay, but no one came. Despite this we enjoyed our stay and went to the Grey Inn just round the corner for our evening meal which was faultless, and we went to the Golf Club for breakfast which again was faultless. Our grudge is having to pay twice for our breakfasts.

We disliked having to pay out for breakfast, which was included in our booking price.
