The room was great for the price clean & tidy

Didn't like the fact there was no hot water so shower was unusable no towel to dry hands on plus wifi was none exitance

Location Clean bedding

Landing untidy. Door to store (former shower) left open and was in complete disarray. Shower head dirty. Bedroom radiator rusty. Bed headboard fell off. Spare blanket shoved into top shelf of wardrobe…. Need I go on!

Price, location, clealiness, lovely view from room

Entry instructions could be reconfigured . . No hot water to room . . Could really do with shower mat. . Could have done with second table lamp. . . Some small complimentary toiletries would have been a help . .

Clean and tidy

The pub and restaurant were closed, No staff to be seen.

Very comfortable bed. Very clean. Nice, quiet location. Easy to find & to access. Yum biscuits 😃

Small bathroom but did the job!

Quiet location with good eating establishments nearby. The friendly owner's mother who lived next door kindly took in my wife's insulin to store in her fridge, and thoughtfully lent a couple of her books. Good access to the local beach & to Seahouses for bird viewing cruises, and to Bamburgh with it's magnificent castle.

There was no hot water from the basin tap and the extractor fan in the bathroom did not work. I phoned to inform the owner of these problems, explaining that we had managed by boiling water, & was told the jobs were in hand to be put right. However we were disappointed that no further back-up call was made to us when neither of the two deficiencies was rectified, which felt like bad manners. We were also only informed with very little notice that the Bluebell was no longer a pub, therefore had no food available. Luckily two other establishments providing evening meals are close by. All this was in contrast to the helpful friendliness of the owner's mother next door which was much appreciated.

Clean and good location

Outdated info on website. Bar is shut. No toiletries self checkin so no staff. No access to play area. Hopefully the restaurant will reopen one day On a plus side the rooms were spotless but lack of toiletries in both rooms was frustrating. But good value for money if you are looking for literally a bed- only experience in a great location

The village.

No breakfast, no kitchen or table and chair to make one’s own breakfast, Not enough storage to unpack my bags. Bathroom heating not functioning, main heating not on on arrival and room freezing cold.

It was a perfect location for the St Oswald’s Way….a third of a mile off the trail. Very good pub next door. Very good price. No breakfast facilities though that suited me as I got an early start on the walk. Close to Dunstanburg castle. The golf club at the bottom of the hill served food. We didn’t eat there but it looked good. Overall, not a luxury stay but it served its purpose well.

The property is quite dated and there is no private parking. The room was very small. The WiFi didn’t work but I think that was an anomaly.
