Blue Bell Inn

I was in the twin room, it was very clean and spacious. And the bed was very comfortable, I slept like a baby! Nice hot shower (electric) with good pressure (no toiletries apart from hand wash, so dig out some of that stash you’ve been hoarding from previous hotels) In an old pub but the rooms are newly done up (the pub itself has closed down, but I had already sussed that from previous reviews so no worries). I arrived on a pushbike which they let me store in the cottage next door. They recommended dinner at The Grey’s Inn which is a few doors down, the food was amazing and the pub had a good atmosphere. They recommended breakfast at Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel which is around the corner (4min walk, doable for a cyclist) the breakfast was also amazing. It’s self check in but a lot of places are these days! (People are busy!) (very thorough instructions were sent prior to arrival). Seems like a lovely place with a lot of walking trails nearby. Oh and the corridor to the rooms had everything you could want/need. Ironing board, extra teas and coffee, extra hand wash etc.

Odd entrance ( no staff). Restaurant facility is closed. Not hot water from the bathroom sink.

Despite having no warm water, the room was fine in other aspects, and close to the pub and a small shop. Self check in (as so many places now) with a key and without complication. Nice area to spend a day or two.

There was no warm water, which is really the basis for a room close to the beach, when people walk and swim etc. The host claimed that their system could not handle several people using warm water, but there was no time of the day when the water was actually warm, and no effort to improve the situation. The entrance and hallway with old information about the pub and WiFi standing around could use a cleanup.

Great location, not far from the coast. Easy to access and kettle in room, v quiet and comfortable

Some breakfast would have been welcome- realise this is down to staffing issues but even something basic being offered or left in the room would have been appreciated, given the price

Good location for my walk

No staff at the accommodation, no breakfast in the morning, comfortable bed but drab room

Nice comfortable room with on suite. Property in a quiet location and close to pub serving good food. Lovely beach close by with off road parking and pay parking.

No hot water from the sink hot tap - had to use shower attachment to fill. Parking on road. Would have been in a motorhome so not much safe parking - missed a day due to it breaking down so came in the car for the second day stay.
