"Lovely building but disappointing stay"

Was on our walking route

No staff, no bar, no service of any kind no advice about where to eat or go out. Building was lovely on the outside but dated and tired on the inside.

"Clean, comfortable room in good location."

No breakfast available. Location good, very quiet, easy to park.

No hot water in washbasin. Directions for access not received before arrival so it took some time to get into our room even though we arrived after 3pm.

"Northumberland get away."

The room was fine ,the shower was good, it provided us with a suitable base to travel from and return to, so we could visit lots of parts of Northumberland. So we enjoyed our little holiday.

The self check in/check out system. This ment we only ever met any member of staff when she came on the last day to give us fresh towels so we could shower before leaving to go home. As we were there for 6 nights I believe the service was poor.The restaurant was closed (staffing issues)but the email sent let us know there were places we could go within walking distance, however we needed to book in advance. As we were away most of the day doing our own thing, when we tried to even order a carry out fish supper we were told it would be 3 hours as they were very busy...! So we got back in the car ,went back to Seahouses and ate our suppers on the front. We were back at the digs for a cuppa before we would have even been served.

"Comfortable but basic"

Decent location, comfortable if basic rooms, with good tea and coffee facilities.

Some soap or shower gel would have been nice, and some confusion over check in as we arrived when no-one there and didn’t have entry code but I gather this was just an on-the-day illness
