We chose this place to stay as an alternative to staying in Wellington. It is about 25 minutes drive to the port from there. It is a very modern apartment with views across the sandy bay below. It was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. Not at all bad in content but we had to go out and buy more milk and marmalade, both of which were however useful for our next stop elsewhere. We could not get the, very new-looking, aircon to generate any heat but the host brought in a tenant of hers over the Easter weekend to try and fix it. It was not fixable at that time as a component had failed. Top marks though for customer service in trying to solve the problem! This is a lovely place to stay and peaceful compared to the city but there are not many places to eat around the area. We found one decent restaurant in nearby Poreira but drove into Wellington the next night and had a great meal at the Yacht Club which is open to the public.

Nothing to dislike here.

The room is very tastefully done, the view is excellent, we felt very well taken care of by our host Raewynne.

Opportunities to eat or shop in the neighborhood are limited.

Location and scenery

The place was lovely, clean and quiet with the most stunning view. It was so nice to come back to after a busy day at the office. Will look to stay again when I'm next in the area.

The apartment and location were immaculate! Our host Raewynne was friendly, helpful and very considerate of our needs. The views of the ocean and walks around the Bay were stunning!

Absolutely nothing!

The view was spectacular! Very short walk to the beach and so clean!
