Mahinapua Retreat B&B

The surroundings were really beautiful and the location was perfect. Not too far out of town so still close to the shops, but not to close to town so it's still nice and peaceful. Susan, Den and Boz (the hosts dog) were great hosts. Especially Boz, he's extremely friendly and loves to play. Susan and Den are down to earth and make you feel really welcome. The room was clean, and the bed was super comfortable, and having breakfast provided was a huge bonus. Would recommend paying them a visit if you're ever in Hokitika.

Breakfast was great. This is possibly the cleanest place we have stayed in! The room was immaculate with beautiful hand crafted bespoke furniture. Susan and Den are amazing hosts and meeting them was a highlight of our trip. They work hard to create the perfect stay for their guests. The location was quiet and pretty. The Woodstock Pub has fantastic meals. Should we ever return to the West Coast, this would be our go to accommodation and we will be recommending it to our friends, family and fellow travellers.

Small room Lack of comfortable chairs in the room clearly due to lack of space Noisy drains, constant gurgling as facilities used in other rooms Poor noise insulation between rooms. Television, conversations and kettle boiling all clearly audible in

The Breakfast was just right and we enjoyed the company of Lily from Germany. Thank you Den and Susan and Boz the dog.

Maybe the distance to town centre otherwise lovely and Quiet

The hosts were welcoming. It was clean. It was comfortable.

The dividing wall to the other room allowed sound to pass through.

Very comfortable, clean, well set up rooms. The hosts were amazingly friendly and welcoming. We loved their happy, friendly dog.

Friendly owners. 10 mins from town. Lovely friendly dog (Boz). Breakfast was just what we needed, eggs if you wanted. Cereal, toast and jams. Family atmosphere. Just across the road from a tree walk and zip wire attraction.

The hosts are amazing, very kind people. The room is high-standard. Very comfortable.
