Ikaze B&B

Ikaze B&B was like a second home; my experience was unparalleled. The environment was thoroughly comfortable - clean, inviting, and pleasantly scented. The hostess and staff were friendly and did their best to ensure that I had a memorable stay, including accommodating my plant-based diet. They succeeded – Lord willing, I’ll be back!

There is nothing to dislike about Ikaze B&B. It's extremely comfortable , safe, and pleasant. In addition, it is strategically located a short distance from the airport and not too close to the bustling activities of the city. It's perfect to relax in a peaceful place after a busy day.

Hospitality. The care and compassion. I was stranded from one guest house , they rescued me. I received such a warm welcome and was made to feel like family right away. The owner is very cheerful and light hearted. I enjoyed spending this short sweet moment with her.

The stay was short. Also location is a bit out of the way, but good to get around on moto.

On the day of my booking they called me to advise that they were fully booked despite having confirmed my booking earlier in the week. They could have advised me prior to the day of my booking that they were fully booked.

Ikaze is a wonderful place to stay in Kigali. It is a little outside of the downtown area, but what it lacks in location is made up 100 fold by the wonderful staff and how nice and clean the rooms are, plus how affordable it is compared to similar places to Kigali. We were so grateful that one of the staff helped wash our rental car without us even asking. I will be back!

This place canceled at the last minute and transferred us at a worse place. Had they informed us earlier I would have booked a better place

I cannot stress enough how disappointed I was with my experience at Ikaze B&B. First of all, the location shown in Booking.com -- which should be right next to Kigali Airport -- doesn't reflect the reality. The actual location of Ikaze B&B is more than 7km away from the airport (see the blue pin at the screenshot below), which I only found out after losing time and money trying to get there. Breakfast was also very different from the pictures exhibited on Booking: cold coffee, a piece of sausage harder than a rock and zero fruits. Wifi didn't work well in my room. Moreover, I also need to denounce a theft occurred inside Ikaze B&B in the morning following my arrival there. During breakfast, I came upstairs to my room and noticed my Apple Watch -- which I had left on top of the desk beside my bed -- was missing. I resumed breakfast, then came upstairs again and searched my entire room to be sure the watch wasn't anywhere there. I notified the front desk and the cleaning staff about the missing watch. They started searching the room again, but the watch was only found after one of the cleaning guys left the premises, went downstairs and magically "found" it on the breakfast table -- the same one where I was when noticed that the watch was missing. I had booked two nights at Ikaze, planning to stay a whole day there -- my flight was only scheduled to 11:40 pm. However, after those episodes I cut my reservation short and left to the airport around noon, paying only for the first night. To leave early was the best moment of my stay in Ikaze.

they changed my accommodation without notice, to a lower category accommodation, with bugs. When we complained, they changed us to another accommodation, more expensive than what we had reserved and we had to pay for it because it was at night and we had no option.
