Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt Mit tollen Tipps Wir sind lieber draußen statt drinnen Aber hier war daheim bleiben auch schön, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt , Dankeschön ! (Nach einer Reise durch Wohnungen weiß man eine funktionale Küche mit guter Ausstattung und schneidenden Messern zu schätzen - danke hierfür )

The owner was exceptionally helpful. She gave us lifts including to the kayak office and told us much about life in NZ, the impact of their earthquake, and where we could visit. We used the kitchen to prepare food and we enjoyed the breakfast she provided. This was a great time to meet to talk with other travellers and with Judy the owner. It was great sitting on the upstairs veranda which looked out over the fields and hills. Although we were about a km out of town we are walkers and prefer being away from the hustle of the tourist orientated town. Actually we liked walking along the beach both into town and up the coast.

We booked the smallest room as we were on a budget. This was somewhat cramped but we booked it. We understand the other rooms have all been modernised. This did not affect our stay, we enjoyed it and appreciated Judy's kindness.

Comfortable, clean, great facilities. Lovely breakfast and access to a full kitchen for self catering. Supermarket within walking distance. Easy parking and a 2 minute drive to whale watching and town eateries, shops and cinema. A lovely wrap around porch gives views to the mountains. Judy is a wonderful host sharing stories and useful advice and information. Highly recommend.
