The Witching Post Inn

Lovely peaceful and relaxing stay. Dave and the team were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the local area. The four legged “land ladies” Molly & Nelly were very well mannered and exceptionally good snugglers by the fire place. Our room was very clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed the quiet location. The flowers left (for our honeymoon) was a lovely touch and we felt very well looked after. Breakfast was great and we really enjoyed Parmo evening!

Just a preference thing but we found the bed too squishy. But as I said this is purely a preference thing we are used to a firmer mattress. Slept well regardless :)

The hotel was quirky and very comfortable. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent with a good choice of options.

There was a loud noise from the air conditioning downstairs during the day

Cracking english breakfast. I had booked to eat out, but as we left I kind of wish I hadn't - lovely smalls wafting from the kitchen.

My only complaint is I have so little to complain about. The Landlord and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

nothing to dislike congenial host very welcoming locals use pub also very friendly food amazing loads of character and history bedroom and Bathroom perfect for our needs slept like a log easy parking pretty central for sightseeing but also slightly away so relaxed will return

Definitely recommend this place, an absolute gem. Pete and the gang are very friendly. Food amazing especially steak and guiness pie. Easy for location to whitby can drive to park and ride, and get bus. Lovely quirky b n b.

A lovely proper full English breakfast, and alovely location. First choice for a repat visit!
