No TV, no frigde, first time ever i heard that we cannot have a proper breakfast because we had so many discounts. Strange

Our host was very friendly and the location was central. Access to our own bathroom, although we had to leave our room to get to it.

We did not expect to be staying in a boarding situation with shared lounge and kitchen. The description indicated our own room and facilities. We were also mindful of noise since we were one of three bedrooms on our floor. It was very quiet but not relaxing having to be so mindful of any noise created.

I didn't like anything about it. The host insulted me and left my luggage outside the door without my permission.

I arrived in New Zealand with jet lag on the day of my arrival and spent one night with this private host. Unfortunately, I became ill during my stay after she recommended a nearby restaurant. The next morning, she insulted me personally, saying that I wasn't a little child anymore just because I was sick. I found this behavior extremely disrespectful and inappropriate. Furthermore, she accused me of clogging the toilet, even though I had thoroughly cleaned it after vomiting. She threatened me with high repair costs and a police report, which I consider unjustified. During my stay, I was not afforded any privacy, as she constantly monitored me in the house. Moreover, the promised amenities did not match what I received: there were no towels, no hairdryer, and no shower supplies, all of which I had to request. When I inquired, the host responded very rudely and literally said she didn't care ("I don't give a fuck"). This start to my trip to New Zealand was disappointing. I have already taken legal action, as I find this behavior unacceptable.
