The Bays bed and Breakfast

The Breakfast was as we expected and was ideal, a kiwi continental.

The house is clean and comfortable. The host Shareen is very nice and helpful.

It would have been nice to have air con or fan in the bedroom.

It was a beautiful stay and the executive suite exceeded our expectations. It was so sumptuous and the bed was very comfortable. The views from this house are spectacular too. Shareen is a lovely Fijian lady who made us feel at home and showed us how everything worked around the house. The house is only recently built with beautiful wooden flooring and you are required to take your shoes off which didn't bother us. She provides slippers if you need them. Breakfast is simple and continental - serve your own cereals, toast, jam, pancakes, coffee/tea. You can always supplement your appetite or other breakfast preferences at local cafes if needed. This is a B&B and not a hotel - you are sharing someone's home with other guests. Kohimarama is a lovely spot with great restaurants and cafes nearby. It's very close to Auckland CBD and local beaches.

Sehr nette Gastgeberin. Die Exekutive Suite war riesengroß und komfortabel. Trotz Straße vor der Tür ruhig gelegen. Nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand bzw. zum Bus nach Auckland. Ca. 30 Minuten zu Fuß nach St. Helier mit Restaurants und Geschäften.

Das Frühstück war mehr als spartanisch. Es gibt nur Toast und Marmelade sowie Cerealien. Dazu gibt es von der Gastgeberin frisch entweder Rührei, Muffins oder Pancakes. Aber Käse, Wurst, Obst und Säfte fehlen. Die muss man selbst mitbringen. Der Kaffee ist nur Instant. Der Balkon ist zwar schön groß, die Stühle aber mehr als unbequem, so dass nicht nutzbar. Der avisierte Safe ist eine harmlose abgeschlossene Schublade im Kleiderschrank.

The bed was really soft and comfortably. It was easy to check-in. We arrived really early and could already check-in on 11am.

Breakfast was a bit random. Sometimes we got freshly cooked food, and sometimes we didn't. There were only a few options for breakfast, but you could request something if you wanted. In our case, as we only stayed for three nights, it didn't make sense for us to request anything extra. Also we couldn't lock our room, when leaving.

Shareen was so welcoming and informative. She always made you feel at home, but gave you your own space at the same time. Her home is so clean and comfortable.

Location was excellent. Shareen was a very welcoming host.

It was somewhat unclear to us whether items in the fridge were communal or belonged to other guests.

Tolle Lage. Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin. Sehr saubere und gemütliche Zimmer. Terrasse mit nutzbarem BBQ. Gemeinsame Küche im Erdgeschoss. Wenn man will kann man im Living Room andere Gäste treffen.
