There is no window in the room.

The hotel was very clean and stylish, and they kindly helped us check in earlier than the normal check-in time.

The room we rented was very modernly designed. It was in good shape and clean when we arrived. The host seemed pleasant and we were able to have a decent conversation.

In addition to the TV not properly working, we were not really happy with the breakfast situation. The host gave us daily coupons for 5 eur for a local bakery that basically buy you a simple pasty. We didn’t have the budget to get something to eat + a coffee and a water which was a big letdown. Also, the building where the B&B is located is in horrible shape. It’s very dirty and full of cockroaches. When we first entered, we were almost certain that we weren’t at the right address.

Location

The staff were incredibly rude from the beginning. Firstly telling us we had to check in at 5pm despite booking.com saying 3pm then blaming booking.com for the error. We then had breakfast of 5 euro per person which if you sit at the cafe only covers a basic croissant and coffee, for the amount you are paying here saying “breakfast is included” is a joke. The first day the room asked for it to be and all they did was bring some towels. We then got told off for the bin “overflowing” despite not being cleaned day before. We also got told off for asking for a fresh towel each day in the peak of summer. We had to ask for room to be cleaned properly which it was not, no soap supplies, water replenishment etc. We felt we were walking on egg shells the entire time and staff very unapproachable and incredibly rude, most communication via WhatsApp so not tracked by booking.com We would not recommend

An amazing B&B situated just at the entrance to Ortigia area. Perfect choice if you are driving, as there are several large parking zones around. The rooms are new. We appreciated the quality of the finishings and size of the room and bathroom. Great mattress, a very comfortable sleep and we didn’t hear the noise from outside, even though the balcony is facing a busy street. Loved it!

We had a lot of luggage (60kg) and it was a bit challenging to carry it up to the 2nd floor as there’s no elevator, but it won’t be an issue if you’re traveling light ;)

The style of the entire bb is very nice. The location is ideal: accessible with the car (no private parking but easy to find a parking place on the public street) and Ortigia is 2 mins away.

The entry card failed only once, but worried me on my way back in the night. No windows in my room. Not clear where the light switch is in the entry or the stairs.

Staff could be more professional/organized to make the instructions clearer but overall they were quickly available to solve the small issues we had.
