New Raya - Nias Beach Bungalows

Its a quite big bungalow, a little bit outside of the village, which should be a quite place. But the family is not able to walk and so they drive around my bungalow whole day with the scooters. Its a wired behavior. The family also stopped talking to me, when I rejected to buy the totally overpriced lobster from them. You will get the lobster for the half price in the village!

The bathroom needs a lot of maintainance, the water pressure is very low, to take a shower! Many dogs are running around and empty all the time the rubbish bins! Its also in a noisy neighbourhood, where you get annoyed very often with very loud music and by the bad music taste of the neighbours!

Beautiful location-peaceful compared to the rest of Saroke, but a 3 minute walk to Keyhole. We loved the hammock on the porch - stayed dry even in the rain! Comfortable bed -air conditioning worked best with the bathroom door closed and a fan to circulate air. Perri and Anni, our hosts, were available to help make any arrangements (driver, scooter rental) we needed.& provide us with water if we asked. There are several good places to eat, our favorites were Hello Sunshine for breakfast & Soushie restaurant. The pace of life is much slower than the USA & it was a wonderful respite from our usual life. Anni is a wonderful cook and prepared dinner for us twice while we were there. Truly felt like family!

A little difficult to understand the way things work -we didn’t realize we needed to ask for things - once that was sorted-no problem! A bit of a hike to the beach at Lagrundi bay-about a mile.

Totally recommended!, the hosts were very kind and helpful, is a quiet location, safe, clean and a beautiful view, away from the busy city, just in front of Sorake beach, good for relaxing and surfing.

Not much restaurants nearby, for more options, is needed travel to the city around 20min by car.

Everything, great service from the staff. Delicious food provided on request at a very cheap price. And excellent location to surf spots. Great rates.

Great location and view from the balcony is amazing - such beautiful sunrise! Peri and Annie were amazing hosts, warm, friendly and always there to help out.

Amazing location, very close to the main break and in the other direction great jungle and reef walks. The food was at a very high level, I have owned a bistro for 12 years and everything we were served i would be happy to put on the menu. Annie and Perry were amongst the most hospitalable and accomadating host i have ever stayed with. Air conditioner in bungalow worked great. Standard type of bathroom for Indonesia but i had no complaints. We are coming back in 10 days to spend another week here and next year. We don't feel the need to even inquire about other accomadation options on nias . Just go do it and get the waves of your life!!!!

Great location, the property is beautiful, Anne is an amazing chef and adheres to dietary needs. The internet is good, and the hosts are very welcoming
