Lovely welcome, fabulous home cooked dinner

Friendly staff, clean place and nice breakfast cooked by the staff themselves. We only had one night before starting our safari so was fine for what we needed :)

A tad far away from town to walk (30-40 mins)

Breakfast is very well served and excellent but might take time (if you are subject to a transport schedule or and early departure, please advise and they will adjust accordingly).

The double room we booked was fairly small, reason why we asked to move to a larger room - paying extra for it. The lock of the room was not working and remained so until our departure on the third day. I strongly doubt anyone looked into it. We took the risk of leaving our stuff unprotected (thinking that nothing bad would happen in that environment but this is unacceptable anyway). Location is a bit off center but private transport is easily available.

We stayed at the Blue Elephant for 4 Nights before and 2 Nights After our safari. During this time we enjoyed the company of Agness, the owner, very much. She is a very warmhearted, caring, and punctual person. When we were leaving for our next destination at 6h in the morning, she had already prepared one of her delicious Omelettes for us, escorted us to the main road, and waited with us for half an hour, until we got into our bus. This made us feel safe all along the way. Her brother Greg taylored Safari swiftly and precisely for the places we wanted to see, which we enjoyed very much! So all in all a very recommendable experience.

SUPER comfortable rooms, large breakfast in the morning, great wifi, and a wonderful host.

I accidentally booked a private room for 1 person (with a double bed) on booking.com instead of for two people — my fault. But the host wanted to charge 2x that amount for the same room with 2 people! Nothing against the property just be sure to book correctly on booking as it is far cheaper that way.

We had the rooms in the backyard: one room is very spacious, the other is quite small. Beds are comfy, but not good for tall people . The staff is friendly and helpful. Good Breakfast with fresh fruit, toast and pancake. Location is good and safe, only few metres to the main street, where always TukTuk, MotoTaxi and Taxi are waiting to bring you in the center of town. Also a lot of little shops nearby. We would also recommend the Restaurant in the Hotel directly next to Blue Elephant, when you step outside the gate, on the right hand.

We booked two rooms: in one room we could not lock the door, in the other room the mosquito-net was way too small for the bed( but in fact there were no Mosquitos at all in Arusha). WiFi is pretty slow in the rooms we had. A cock nearby starts his morning-duty around 4:00 am, even with ear-plugs it was not possible to ignore him.

The aesthetics were on point and the staff were so kind, charismatic and helpful at all times.
