Basic facilities didn’t work, owner should take more responsibility.

Honestly when we entered the premise, the ground floor was under renovation and we were fairly disappointed, but the host and the staff helped turn it over by providing a room on the top floor, which met our requirements. The room offered high speed internet and a smart TV, and the property allows swiggy/ zomato deliveries. Cocoon is quite scenic with beautiful lichee trees all around and lawns where we played foot ball and frisbee.The location is quite close to the india hikes pick up point.Additionally it is close to good restaurants such as rajwadi / haldiram ( walkable ) you can get an auto to the famed paltan bazaar. The hosts and staff were always attentive and reachable

Given there was a lot of renovation ongoing and we're the only guests on the property at the time, we were personally a bit worried about the security. But when we called the host, they were quick to assure us that the hosts and staffed lived on the premise in a different quarter.

This place is a strong contender for the best I've stayed at anywhere in India. It's no frills in terms of being more like a homestay than a hotel, and the lobby etc. are minimal, though there are very nice grounds with a large lawn and lush litchi and mango trees. As for the room itself, I think the deluxe rooms in particular are of the standard of a good 3- or 4-star hotel, and hence are very good value for money. The furnishings are tasteful, the fittings, plumbing etc. are all of good quality, and in general there is a level of attention to detail that is rare in India especially. I think it's more than worth the upgrade from the standard rooms -- which are not bad, but the deluxe rooms are just a lot nicer aesthetically and have several small add-ons which together make it a really substantive improvement, in my view.

The location is not the most convenient, though not too bad. It would have been fine, if only Dehradun didn't have such terrible traffic and walkability...

The location, ambience, rooms and the overall hospitality shown to us by our wonderful host, Ms. Bhagyashree and her team. They went beyond the norms to fulfil our special requests and make our stay comfortable and memorable...

The two omni-present dogs on the premises...while enjoyable to some, we as a family, are averse to pets and hence we had to be extra watchful and restrained while moving around the premises...
