Location was good. Very centrally located . Dehradun railway station was 10-15 mins from the property. Good green cover with plenty trees surrounding the property. The staff were kind enough to arrange breakfast in the garden sit out area during our stay. The hostess Bhagyashree is a charming lady who welcomed us warmly and recommended eateries nearby which were really nice and also suggested tourist attractions to visit.

The rooms which we had booked were located on the ground floor and what we saw in the pics at the time of booking isnt how the rroms looked when we got there which was around 9 pm in the night. the rooms especially the bathrooms were a bit run down and need to be upgraded.Then we were shown the rooms on the 1st floor which were modern , especially the bathrooms and were told by the caretaker that if we want to move upstairs then we need to pay extra.Note that there is no change in the size of the rooms on the ground floor and first floor . Its just that the decor of the rooms and bathrooms are done up better than the ground floor ones. We moved to the 1st floor. But felt that transparency is key when booking as we want value for our money. We had to pay 1500 /- more to move into the room upstairs.Also read a review nearly 5 years back after we returned t Mumbai which highlighted the same issue of transparency. The owners haven't upgraded their rooms in the last 5 years from the looks of it to address this concern.

The Location, cleanliness and staff, all were superb. Breakfast was on chargeable basis but was freshly prepared and delicious. Their mattresses were orthopaedic which was an added bonus. They don't serve Lunch and Dinner but the staff helped me with restaurant recommendations and provided necessary cutlery and crockery for my food.

The hotel is set back from the road with an orchard in front making it less noisy from vehicles. The staff was efficient and helpful. We spent some time with Bhagyashree in the comfy lobby sitting area and she was such a delight giving us the history of the property and hotel. She was also super helpful, ordering dinner for delivery so we wouldn’t have to go out and giving us travel tips. We are birders and the grounds were gorgeous and allowed us to see some birds in both the evening and morning even though we left early. The room was large and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed. Parking is available on the property.

The place is good and clean. Value for money.Host was good.

Clean, cozy and well situated. Lovely manager and helpful staff. Breakfast is a must have here. Would definitely come back if we return to dehradun
